A Story of Hustle, Heat, and Heritage
Sangwoon and Sangin Kim didn’t start with a grand plan, they just wanted to cook Korean food and share it. Their food truck was the hustle, rolling through Wausau, Wisconsin, offering bold flavors to anyone ready to explore Korean food. Turns out, a lot of people were.
Then came the right place at the right time. Chef DJ Choi was stepping away from Dosirak in Stevens Point, and he didn’t want authentic Korean food in Stevens Point to disappear with it. When he met the Kim brothers, they told him that they weren’t just looking for a space, they wanted to keep the legacy alive.
In September 2023, BroKogi opened its doors in Stevens Point, turning their grind into something bigger. Now, it’s more than just the two of them, their parents and brothers are helping to keep the dream alive.
But they weren’t stopping there. In July 2024, the Kim brothers opened up shop in Wausau, bringing the same bold Korean eats that Stevens Point had been enjoying. Because Korean food, and the culture behind it, is meant to be shared.
From food truck to restaurant, from Wausau to Stevens Point and back again, the mission stays the same: serve up damn good Korean food, no shortcuts, no compromises.
Pull up a chair, grab a bite, and see what we’re all about.
